Military Technical Recruiting is Hiring a Field Service Tech Near Elgin, IL
Provide installation, technical, and maintenance support to on-site personnel including calibrating, configuring, testing, commissioning equipment such as pumps, valves, motors, electro-mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, AC/DC motor control, PLC’s, VFD’s, etc. Duties include
Perform installation activities including pre-consultation, site readiness preparation, startup monitoring, and customer training
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment
Complete service reports, record repairs, warranty and maintenance performed
Collaborate with engineering, project management, and management to resolve problems
Make technical recommendations to maintenance technicians and/or plant operators
This is a high travel position - up to 100% travel to US & Canadian facilities
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Electro-Mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, AC/DC motor control, PLC’s, VFD’s
- Associate’s degree in a technical field or military training equivalent is preferred
- 3 yrs in a related field or an equivalent combination of education
- Experience maintaining Packaging Equipment is a PLUS
